The Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) has shuttle buses from the airport. The trip takes one hour, with a fare of $2.00. http://www.ridetta.org/Bus_Shuttle/Airport_Service/airportService.html has a "trip planner" function that offers full scheduling details. RDU would be the starting point, and the destination (for the Brownstone Hotel) is Hillsborough Street at Cox. Travelers would take Bus #747 from the airport to the TTA hub, and then #105 (runs frequently) from the hub to the hotel area.

A taxi ride would be about 25 minutes and cost $27.50. The hotel is within walking distance of the conference site, but those who would like to explore Raleigh in the evenings may also consider renting a car.

DIRECTIONS

From RDU airport take I-40 headed east towards Raleigh.

From I-40 East to Brownstone Hotel
Stay on the right two lanes of I-40. Take Exit 289 Wade Avenue. Go to the third stoplight on Wade and turn right onto Faircloth. Go to the first stoplight on Faircloth and turn left onto Hillsborough Street. The Brownstone Hotel is on the right about one mile, 1707 Hillsborough Street.

From I-40 East to Coliseum Deck
Stay on the left two lanes of I-40. At the I-40/Wade Avenue split, stay on I-40 to Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn left at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the third traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn right onto Western Boulevard. Take the first left onto Pullen Road. Turn left onto Dunn Avenue. Take your second left onto Jeter Drive. The parking deck will be on your left.

From I-40 West to Brownstone Hotel
Stay on the right two lanes of I-40. Take Exit 298-B South Saunders Street. Follow South Saunders towards downtown. The road will fork just outside of downtown. Bare to the right onto McDowell Street. Follow McDowell into downtown for about 1.5 mile. Turn left onto Hillsborough Street. The Brownstone Hotel is on the left about one mile, 1707 Hillsborough Street.

From I-40 West to Coliseum Deck
Then take I-40 West to Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. From Brownstone Hotel to Coliseum Deck
Turn left onto Hillsborough Street. Turn left onto Pullen Road (traffic light right before the Bell Tower). Go pass the circle and immediately after the bridge turn right onto Dunn Avenue. Take your second left onto Jeter Drive. The parking deck will be on your left.

Walking from Coliseum Deck to Talley Student Center
From the parking deck turn right on Cates Avenue (towards Reynolds Coliseum). Talley Student Center will be on your right in approximately 300 yards.
